Free Girl's Hostel

Rendering educational support, food and accommodation to visually challenged girls who are from economically weaker section.


Visually challenged students who are from rural background find it difficult to continue to their education due to lack of financial support from parents, proper environment and availability of the required infrastructure such as Braille books, guidance etc.

Sahana Charitable Trust For The Disabled (R) took this as a challenge in helping economically backward female visually challenged students to complete their education by providing them free hostel facilities in the city of Bangalore.


The hostel is located in the heart of the city which helps the students in using public transportation and also would be safe for their commute.The hostel would provide basic infrastructure to all its inmates. With the help of volunteers, the trust provides coaching classes and guidances for the courses taken up by the visually challenged students. The trust also provides counselling for mentally disturbed students and bring back focus in their life.
With proper guidance and education, we feel the visually challenged students would be able to mould their future and have a better standard of living.
